FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nevada Neighbors XVI: "The Pleasure of Your Company: Invitation and Participation in Contemporary Art" The lecture is an integral part of "CAP," [Capital City Arts Initiative Art In Public Program], a focus for this year's CCAI programs. In the months ahead, CAP will present a diverse range of art in public projects in northern Nevada and online. She will also present the work of artists who share her active approach to art production, as well as provide examples in popular culture, "from Bingo Night to ballroom dance, bake sales to bowling leagues." Ms. Tin Nyo holds a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally. In 2000, she began studying Ballroom and Latin Dance. She is an International Style competitor on the amateur gold level. The Capital City Arts Initiative is an artist-centered organization committed to the encouragement and support of artists and the arts and culture of Carson City and the surrounding region. The Initiative is committed to community building for the area's diverse adult and youth populations through art exhibitions, live events, arts education programs, artist residencies, and its web site.
